Hmmmm... What is this all about? Well, after attending a baby
shower, the most wonderful gifts I observed the mother-to-be
opening were locally bought or independently made. This
resonated. A couple weeks later I wanted to purchase another
baby gift for an expecting couple and wondered if it were
possible to buy gifts for them off of a registry for local
businesses? I like to buy locally and feel a pang of guilt when I
purchase gifts from "chain' or "big box" stores. No registry
options found. My thought passed. As the months wandered
closer to my own life event, my husband-to-be and I began
pondering the concept of a "wedding gift registry." Resisting the
traditional options, I delved into the local businesses and the
internet hoping to find a way to register at a variety of local
stores. None found. Frustrated, but inspired that a local gift
registry option could benefit gift givers, gift receivers, local
stores and our community, I was determined. With the help of
some amazing souls, I was encouraged and supported to create
this site. Although it takes a little more thought and a little more
time, I encourage you to explore the benefits of registering
locally. I have found it a rewarding experience. I hope you do
